Job summary

ASEE Group seeks an experienced Mechanical Engineer Manager to lead the mechanical engineering function across projects. You will provide technical leadership, mentor teams, and ensure safety, quality and regulatory compliance in all mechanical systems and installations.

You will oversee design, calculations, and specifications, manage resources and deadlines, and collaborate with project managers and site teams for integrated delivery. Strong leadership and communication are essential.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the mechanical engineering team with direction and performance management.
• Oversee mechanical design, calculations, and specifications for compliance with requirements.
• Manage resource allocation, workload planning, and team development to meet deadlines.
• Collaborate with project managers, electrical engineers, and site teams for integrated delivery.
• Ensure designs comply with industry codes, standards and best practices.
• Review and approve drawings, designs, and technical documents.
• Drive continuous improvement in engineering processes, tools and standards.
• Provide technical expertise in resolving design, installation and commissioning challenges.
• Liaise with clients, contractors and external stakeholders as the senior mechanical representative.
• Support bid and tender processes with technical input, cost estimation and risk assessment.
