Job summary

Alpine Racing Limited in Enstone is seeking a Lead Mechanical Design Engineer to head a Suspension Design team, owning performance delivery for the race car year on year. You will guide the team technically and managerially, ensuring design quality and on-time delivery within budget, while mentoring junior engineers.

The role requires a degree in Engineering, strong CAD skills (Catia V5/3DX, NX), and a hands-on approach to deliver high-quality designs in a high-pressure motorsport environment.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree required with strong CAD capabilities.
• Experience leading a design team in high-performance environments.
• Solid collaboration across disciplines and senior stakeholder management.

Responsibilities

• Determine technical requirements with the Head of Section.
• Own Detailed Design Specifications and Project plans.
• Carry out conceptual work using simulations and 3D modelling.
• Lead engineers to deliver on schedule and budget, resolving conflicts.
• Approve work of reports as part of the design process.
