This is an exciting and challenging opportunity to use advanced mechanical design expertise on complex components for aerospace turbomachinery. The role supports the next generation of commercial platforms. The primary function is to act as lead engineer for composite turbomachinery design and development which guides the architecture, resolves technical problems, coordinates assignments for designers, collaborates with program leadership, and presents to stakeholders. Interacting closely with project managers, analytical teams, and designers is important for meeting project deliverables and milestones. Demonstrate effective technical leadership to guide innovative designs to give Honeywell competitive advantages for the future. Understand and adhere to design requirements and practices, act with speed and accuracy for on‑time execution. Listen to internal customer’s needs and drive burning platform initiatives to reduce cycle time and cost. Mentor less‑experienced engineers.
The successful candidate will engage mainly in APU, Turboprop, and Turbofan product lines and will provide technical guidance for composite turbomachinery design and development.
The candidate will support and report out to key stakeholders within the Engines and Power Systems Engineering organization.
