Crown House Technologies in Oxford is seeking an experienced Mechanical Construction Manager to join a flagship science and research development project starting in October 2026. You will lead the on-site mechanical package, drive programme, productivity, safety and quality across delivery.

Qualifications

• Proven experience delivering mechanical services on large-scale, complex construction projects.
• Strong leadership and workforce management to drive performance on site.
• Excellent knowledge of HVAC, public health, and mechanical plant installations.
• Strong planning, coordination, and communication abilities.
• Understanding of health & safety legislation, quality standards, and construction processes.
• HNC/HND or Degree in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent industry experience).

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee the on-site mechanical workforce to achieve productivity targets.
• Coordinate installation, commissioning and close-out of mechanical systems.
• Work with planners, engineers and supervisors to drive programme and progress.
• Maintain high standards of health, safety and quality throughout the project.
• Ensure labour, materials and plant are planned and available when required.
• Support short-term planning and sequencing of work packages.
• Oversee subcontractor performance and accountability for delivery.
• Promote collaboration and clear communication across trades on site.
