Job summary

Tetra Tech is seeking a Mechanical Building Services Engineer to lead the design and delivery of HVAC systems, domestic water services and drainage for new-build and refurbishment projects across the UK. You will produce specifications, calculations, and technical documentation while coordinating with architecture and planning teams.

You will mentor junior engineers, drive best practice, support decarbonisation initiatives, and manage design quality, budgets and programmes on multiple schemes,

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services Engineering.
• Chartered Engineer status is highly desirable.
• Strong knowledge of industry standards and regulations.
• Hands-on experience with design software including Hevacomp, MagiCAD, AutoCAD, Navisworks and MS Excel.
• Revit and IES experience preferable.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and delivery of HVAC systems, domestic water services and drainage for projects.
• Produce specifications, calculations and technical documentation.
• Mentor junior engineers and drive best practice across the team.
• Manage budgets, programmes and quality assurance across schemes.
• Engage with clients and multidisciplinary teams to support decarbonisation efforts.
