Job summary

Pick Everard, based in the Nottingham Office with flexible location options, seeks a Building Services Engineer (Mechanical) to deliver multi-sector projects across private and public sectors. You will design, analyse and produce contract documents while mentoring junior engineers and ensuring on-time delivery.

The ideal candidate holds an HND/degree in Building Services Engineering (Mechanical) or equivalent, is Chartered or working towards it, and has strong IES/Hevacomp/AutoCAD skills with

Qualifications

• HND/Degree in Building Services Engineering (Mechanical) or related discipline or equivalent qualification.
• Chartered Engineer (CEng) or Incorporated Engineer (IEng) or working towards this status.
• Significant experience in mechanical building services/HVAC design, including domestic water services, ventilation, heating, and cooling.
• Strong working knowledge of IES, Hevacomp, and AutoCAD; experience with Revit MEP is desirable.
• Comprehensive understanding of UK Building Regulations, Low/Zero Carbon Technologies and BREEAM.
• Understanding of construction industry design processes and procurement arrangements.
• Proven design skills across a range of sectors.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative and self-motivated approach.
• Experience in resource planning and management.
• Business development experience and ability to build strong client relationships.

Responsibilities

• Delivering portfolios of work across both the private and public sector, managing various contracts throughout.
• Preparing designs, feasibility studies, technical reports, and contract documents.
• Carrying out building analysis and providing system design calculations.
• Liaising directly with Clients and Contractors.
• Ensuring projects are delivered accurately and on time.
• Providing mentorship and technical guidance to junior engineers and graduate trainees.
• Compliance with Health & Safety requirements, practices and procedures.
