Job summary

Tarmac Trading Limited is seeking a Senior Materials Testing Technician to lead a team in on-site and laboratory testing of aggregates and asphalt at Clitheroe Asphalt Plant, Lancashire. You will drive quality, safety, and continuous improvement across our operations, supporting multiple sites with hands-on problem solving.

The role combines practical testing with leadership responsibilities, and requires a full UK driving licence and willingness to travel between sites.

Qualifications

• Lead a technical team of Materials Testing Technicians.
• Laboratory and on-site testing experience required.
• Knowledge of BS EN Standards and accreditations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee aggregate and asphalt testing to BS EN standards.
• Ensure accurate, timely testing to support operations.
• Promote a strong Health, Safety and Environmental culture.
• Drive continuous improvement across sites and testing activities.
