Job summary

Omega, based in Gloucestershire, is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer (Composites) to lead development of aerospace composite components. The role requires expertise in composite materials, carbon fiber, and a strong manufacturing background with process and quality improvements.

The candidate will design for manufacturability, develop routings/BoMs, and implement quality procedures while collaborating with tooling, QA, procurement, and BD teams. A permanent position.

Qualifications

• Experience of composite manufacture and processing.
• Strong understanding of carbon fiber.
• Quality control in aerospace.

Responsibilities

• Support product design for manufacture.
• Create Routings and BoMs.
• Develop Process Sheets for standard procedures.
• Develop and implement quality control procedures and inspection plan.
• Collaboration with Tooling Design for concepts/requirements.
• Develop PFMEAs to identify and mitigate risks.
• Review production data to improve quality and efficiency.
• Support procurement with technical guidance.
• Support BD with quotations (methodology and costings).
