Leonardo UK Ltd. is seeking a Lead Manufacturing Engineering Specialist to shape future manufacturing and testing for EW domain. Role involves cross-site collaboration, governance, and developing manufacturing requirements to enable world-class production.

You will oversee lifecycle manufacturing activities, drive innovation in processes and equipment, and travel to sites such as Edinburgh, Basildon and Southampton, with occasional home-working opportunities.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree or equivalent mandatory.
• Experience across lifecycle phases of manufacturing engineering.
• Willingness to travel to Edinburgh, Basildon and Southampton.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialist input to ensure technically sound solutions for projects.
• Lead Manufacturing Engineering sections of reviews and governance.
• Track external developments and disruptive technologies for the project team.
• Study product requirements and explore new manufacturing methods and equipment.
• Prepare reports with data analysis and trends on product/process.
• Design methods to assure quality and validate processes.
• Improve manufacturing efficiency and plan layout/workspace for future factories.
• Develop manufacturing/test requirements for future designs with engineering teams.
• Advise on policies and processes within the operations framework.
• Promote best-practice sharing and knowledge exploitation within the team.
• Mentor junior colleagues to grow overall capability.
• Support customer engagement and roadmaps for products.
• Maintain reputation by complying with government regulations.
