Job summary

NG Bailey Facilities Services are recruiting a Lead Maintenance Technician (Mechanical or Electrical) for day shifts in Manchester city centre. You will lead a five-building contract, delivering planned and reactive maintenance and reporting to the Site Supervisor.

The role requires a fully qualified Electrical or Mechanical Technician with strong communication skills and a client-facing approach. You will manage contractors, uphold HASAWA standards, and drive safety, quality and energy

Qualifications

• Fully qualified Electrical or Mechanical Technician required.
• Experience in maintenance environments and client facing roles.
• Knowledge of HASAWA and statutory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate the team to complete PPMs, remedial and reactive tasks.
• Support the Site Supervisor in day-to-day contract delivery.
• Act as deputy to the Site Supervisor during leave or absence.
• Ensure documentation and logbooks are up to date for inspections.
• Manage contractors on/off site via Permit to Work scheme.
• Monitor plant performance via BMS and CAFM systems.
• Oversee incident management and emergency procedures.
• Maintain shift logs and technical reports.
• Support energy efficiency and continuous improvement initiatives.
