Job summary
McLaren Racing in Sheffield seeks a Lead Maintenance Engineer to head the site maintenance team and translate business priorities into effective plans that protect continuity, capacity and safety. You will shape the maintenance strategy and drive reactive, preventative and predictive maintenance across assets, ensuring reliability and cost-effectiveness.
You will lead a multi-disciplinary team, develop capability, and govern maintenance standards while aligning resources to business needs.
Qualifications
- 5+ years in maintenance engineering within industrial/manufacturing.
- Proven leadership experience managing engineering teams.
- Advanced multi-skilled capability across electrical, mechanical and fluid power disciplines with fault-finding.
- Experience with CMMS/EAM and data-driven maintenance decision making.
- Strong knowledge of reliability engineering principles and methodologies.
Responsibilities
- Define and implement the site maintenance strategy and priorities.
- Lead, coach and develop the maintenance engineering team and plan succession.
- Establish and monitor maintenance KPIs, OEE and reliability metrics.
- Drive Lean, TPM and Six Sigma improvements to reduce downtime.
- Manage budgets, forecasting and cost control for maintenance.
- Lead major maintenance projects ensuring long-term reliability and capacity.
