Lead Maintenance Engineer

Location: Leicester, Leicestershire

Salary: £47,000 + £8,000 Shift Premium

Contract: FTC until December 2026

Job Overview

TXM Recruit is partnering with a prominent company to find a Lead Site Engineer. The role involves stakeholder management, leading a small team, CMMS management, and hands-on maintenance within a fast-paced environment.

Shift Pattern

• Panama shift (2, 2, 3)
• Day and night shifts: 6am – 6pm / 6pm – 6am

Key Responsibilities

• Perform preventative and reactive maintenance across the site, contributing to continuous improvement.
• Conduct electrical and mechanical maintenance on automated systems.
• Mechanical tasks: equipment strip-down, re-assembly, component replacement, belt re-lacing.
• Electrical tasks: testing with multimeter, interpreting electrical diagrams, working up to 480V.
• Manage CMMS and maintenance allocation.
• Stakeholder management and team leadership.
• Monitor budgets and KPIs.

Skills and Qualifications

• Electromechanical apprenticeship to NVQ Level 3 or higher.
• Experience with automated systems.
• HNC/HND or NVQ Level 5 (desirable).
• Knowledge of WMS/WCS systems and pneumatics/hydraulics (beneficial).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
