Job Summary

We are seeking a Lead Site Engineer to join our engineering team. The role involves stakeholder management, leading a small team, CMMS management, and assisting with maintenance tasks in a dynamic environment.

Leadership Responsibilities

• Managing CMMS
• Day-to-day people management
• Stakeholder management
• Leading a small team

Engineering Responsibilities

• Maintaining site MHE to high standards
• Continuous improvement of equipment, ensuring health and safety compliance
• Completing reactive repairs within set timeframes
• Communicating with on-site management regarding repairs and maintenance
• Servicing and repairing installed equipment, demonstrating ownership
• Interpreting electrical circuit diagrams and working with 415V motor controls
• Conducting risk assessments and understanding health & safety considerations
• Mechanical aptitude, including reading assembly drawings
• Operating hand tools and assembling parts
• Following setup instructions, assembly drawings, and checklists
• Providing excellent customer service to internal and external clients
• Understanding control systems
• Willingness to learn and adapt to changing roles
• Appreciation of cultural diversity
• Presenting KPI-based monthly reviews to stakeholders

Skills, Qualifications, and Experience

• NVQ/BTEC/C&G Level 3 in Electro-Mechanical Engineering
• Understanding of PLCs and their functions
• Pneumatic and hydraulic knowledge (beneficial)
• Basic Microsoft Office skills
• Experience with CMMS systems and engineering stores
• HNC/HND or equivalent (desirable)

Preferred Experience

Experience in distribution, FMCG, automation, manufacturing, production, conveyors, machinery, material handling, baggage handling, packaging machinery, cranes, MHE, airports, PLCs/control systems, pneumatics, hydraulics, motors, drives, navy, army, RAF, REME, Marines, armed forces.
