Anglian Water Group Ltd. is seeking a Lead Maintenance Engineer to oversee a comprehensive maintenance programme across Chelmsford and Basildon sites, coordinating internal teams and contractors to minimise downtime and align work with planned shutdowns for efficiency.

You will drive asset performance, manage CBM routes, and ensure safety-critical maintenance is completed on time, while providing mechanical and electrical support to Maintenance Managers.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3/4 in a maintenance discipline is essential.
• Proven fault-finding and RCA on mechanical/electrical assets.
• Knowledge of Water Recycling processes and Health & Safety.
• Experience with contractor management and MOC policies.
• Full UK driving license.

Responsibilities

• Drive improvements in performance and efficiency of assets and maintenance.
• Oversee day-to-day delivery of planned and reactive maintenance.
• Own CBM routes and alerts development.
• Lead safety-critical equipment maintenance on time and to compliance.
• Provide mechanical and electrical technical support to Maintenance Managers and teams.

The role is responsible for delivering a comprehensive maintenance programme across designated sites, including time-based, condition-based, and performance based interventions through the local maintenance teams and designated framework contractors, while driving improvements that reduce asset downtime and increase asset availability.You will also play a key role in aligning planned work with local shutdowns to improve efficiency in the delivery of planned, condition-based, and performance-based maintenance activities. We are seeking an individual who thrives in a collaborative environment and possesses strong communication skills to effectively liaise with a wide range of teams.You will:Drive improvements in the performance and efficiency of operational assets and maintenance activities within the assigned area.Ensure the effective day-to-day delivery of planned and reactive maintenance work.Own the design, development, and optimisation of Condition-Based Monitoring (CBM) routes and associated alerts.Ensure all safety critical equipment maintenance activities are completed on time and in line with compliance requirements.Provide mechanical and electrical technical support to Maintenance Managers and their teams.
