McM Recruitment Solutions is recruiting a Design Manager for a leading M&E contractor in Warrington. You will oversee the design process across projects from concept to installation and lead the design team.

The role requires a strong mechanical background, proficiency in AutoCAD/Revit, and robust coordination with clients and consultants. It offers a permanent position with clear progression and a solid project pipeline.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Design Manager within M&E/building services.
• Strong mechanical engineering background essential
• Proficient in relevant design software (AutoCAD, Revit, CAD-Duct or similar)
• Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, current regulations and design coordination
• Relevant qualification (HNC/HND or degree in Building Services or similar)
• Strong leadership, communication and organisational skills

Responsibilities

• Managing the design process across M&E projects from concept through to installation
• Leading and coordinating the design team, including in-house engineers and external consultants
• Overseeing mechanical design output, ensuring technical accuracy and buildability
• Liaising with clients, contractors and the wider project team
• Managing design programmes, ensuring information is issued on time
• Ensuring designs meet current regulations, specifications and client requirements
• Supporting value engineering and coordination across mechanical and electrical packages
