Job summary

Solenis Bradford site is seeking a proactive Lead Operator Logistics to manage on-shift operations, uphold safety and quality, and act as the main conduit for production performance on a high-hazard chemical process.

You will mentor operators, handle real-time process issues, coordinate product flow and warehouse interfaces, and drive continuous improvements through Lean and 5S while complying with EHS standards and COMAH.

Qualifications

• Experience in chemical manufacturing or hazardous process environments.
• Strong understanding of EHS regulations and COMAH.
• Proven ability to mentor and lead operational teams.
• Excellent situational awareness and decision making.
• Ability to handle emergencies calmly and effectively.

Responsibilities

• Lead shift operations, ensuring production targets, safety standards and quality requirements are met.
• Act as Incident Controller and Liaison Officer under the Site Emergency Plan.
• Issue permits (Hot Work/General), conduct hazard assessments, and enforce EHS policies.
• Mentor operators, support on-the-job training, and promote knowledge sharing.
• Coordinate product flow, stock allocation, vehicle movements, and warehouse interface.
• Maintain accurate shift logs, reports, and documentation for handovers.
• Drive improvements in safety, process reliability, and housekeeping via Lean and 5S.
