Job summary

Responsibilities

• Manage the preparation, implementation and review of the statutory local development framework for the Borough to realise the council's vision and objectives for sustainable development.
• Provide advice to the Council and customers on implications of new legislation and policy guidance.
• Deliver an effective, inclusive service to all users, fair and non-discriminatory.
• Lead the Local Plans team and supervise staff on complex assignments.
• Coordinate policy implementation and advise on planning applications and pre-application work.
