Job summary

Nottingham City Council is seeking an enthusiastic solicitor to lead and manage a busy litigation and dispute resolution team. The role covers civil litigation across High Court, County Court and Magistrates’ Courts, including contract and commercial disputes, housing matters and anti-social behaviour.

You will advise clients on complex legal issues and conduct related proceedings, with a requirement to specialize in at least one area.

Qualifications

• Solicitor admitted for not less than 3 years; barrister having completed a pupillage and called to the Bar for not less than 5 years.
• Experience of local authority type legal work and public law principles.
• Experience in handling high-profile complex case work with senior stakeholders.
• Ability to effectively and efficiently manage a legal team and deputise when required.
