Job summary

The University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire NHS Trust is seeking a Lead Practitioner for the Lithotripsy Service within the Urology Investigations Unit. You will provide expert ESWL procedures using either x-ray or ultrasound guidance and lead the lithotripsy unit to deliver safe, efficient and patient-centred care.

You will work with multidisciplinary teams across urology to manage patient pathways, drive continuous improvement and uphold clinical governance standards, including imaging

Qualifications

• Specialist ESWL procedural skill and knowledge.
• Ability to lead a lithotripsy unit with patient-centred care.
• Experience in imaging review and reporting within urology.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with operational and clinical senior managers within Urology to deliver objectives.
• Liaise with multidisciplinary teams to ensure imaging, ESWL treatment, reporting and patient management.
• Provide leadership, supervision, and specialist advice; support audits and peer review.
• Ensure governance for practice, training needs, and clinical competence plans.
