Job summary

NUVIA UK, part of the VINCI Construction family, seeks an Engineering Lead for lifting equipment projects supporting decommissioning and operations in regulated environments. You will lead design, procurement, and integration activities across multiple disciplines, ensuring safety, compliance and practical deployment of lifting solutions.

Role requires strong stakeholder engagement, technical writing, and project governance experience within nuclear or similarly regulated sectors.

Qualifications

• Engineering delivery experience across design, procurement and implementation phases.
• Experience coordinating multidisciplinary engineering activities and interfaces.
• Experience developing and reviewing engineering specifications and technical documents.
• Experience managing technical risks, assumptions and dependencies.
• Lifting equipment or mechanical plant project experience.

Responsibilities

• Act as Engineering Lead coordinating development of lifting solutions for operations and decommissioning.
• Develop and maintain stakeholder, operational and engineering requirements.
• Manage design activities ensuring safe, compliant and fit-for-purpose solutions.
• Coordinate interfaces between engineering disciplines, operations, safety and project teams.
• Support compliance with LOLER, PUWER, CDM 2015 and UKAEA requirements.
• Develop technical specifications, scopes of work and documentation.
• Lead procurement-related engineering activities and supplier evaluations.
• Engage with procurement, legal and commercial teams for tendering.
• Governance activities including design readiness and gate reviews.
• Support installation, testing, commissioning and acceptance activities.
