Avanti Grange Secondary School is seeking a Librarian and Resource Manager to lead the library, reprographics, and learning resources, supporting curriculum needs and information literacy across the school.

You will work with staff to source resources, manage budgets, and champion reading for pleasure while fostering an inclusive, welcoming library environment for students to study independently and thrive.

Competenze

• GCSE Maths and English or equivalent required.
• Knowledge and understanding of library and information skills.
• Knowledge and commitment to equality and diversity issues in provision of library services.
• Awareness of child development and the role of reading in learning.
• Commitment to safeguarding and welfare of students.

• Manage and develop the school library, reprographics room and wider learning resources.
• Collaborate with teaching staff and subject leaders to source resources and support information literacy.
• Lead initiatives to promote reading for pleasure and a culture of reading.
• Select, acquire, catalogue, maintain and review print/digital resources; manage library budget.
