Job summary

University of Leicester is seeking an experienced nursing academic to join as Lecturer in Nursing and Healthcare Foundation Programme Lead. Based in the School of Healthcare, you will lead the design, delivery and evaluation of teaching and assessment for the Healthcare Foundation Programme, expanding across Nursing, Midwifery, Radiography and operating department practice.

You will lead course material development, manage staff, and represent the programme at School Education Committee,

Qualifications

Registered Nurse with NMC registration.
Nursing degree 2:1 or higher.
Experience teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
Leadership in learning and teaching evidenced.
Fellowship of HEA or willingness to gain within agreed timescale.

Responsibilities

Lead design, implementation, delivery and evaluation of the Healthcare Foundation Programme.
Lead development and continuous improvement of course materials.
Manage and develop programme staff.
Represent the programme at the School Education Committee.
Contribute to educational strategy and scholarship.
Build relationships with placement providers and external partners.
