Job summary

Sanctuary Group in Rochford seeks a Grounds Maintenance Team Leader to supervise estate grounds across Essex and Suffolk. You will lead a small team, manage lawn care, hedge and bed maintenance, and coordinate with site staff to deliver high standards.

The role requires a UK driving licence, experience operating machinery, and the ability to interpret instructions and keep simple records. Salary ranges £29,362–£30,908 with 40 hours/week.

Qualifications

• NVQ3 or equivalent in Horticulture.
• Experience operating machinery and vehicles on site.
• Experience supervising others.
• Ability to read instructions and maintain simple records.

Responsibilities

• Grounds maintenance using commercial tools and machinery to keep estates neat, tidy and safe.
• Carry out ad-hoc tasks such as flytip removal, jet washing, planting.
• Provide supervisory support and ensure estates are well maintained.
• Maintain daily records via smartphone/tablet including risk assessments and checks.
