Job summary

WSP is seeking a Landscape Planner/Architect to lead landscape and visual impact work on landmark projects in the UK & Ireland. You will drive design approaches, coordinate assessments, and engage with clients through workshops and bid processes.

The role offers hybrid working with opportunities across the UK, and support for professional development, including Chartership and mentoring.

Qualifications

• Degree in Landscape Architecture or equivalent.
• Postgraduate diploma/masters in Landscape Architecture or equivalent.
• Established track record delivering Landscape and Visual Impact Appraisals/Assessments or landscape/urban design projects.
• Experience leading on design projects through LI/RIBA stages including BIM level 2.
• Experience with client requirements, scope and fee proposals.
• Fluent spoken English with strong written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Lead, author and coordinate Landscape and Visual Impact Appraisals and Assessments.
• Lead on design projects including urban realm and mixed-use developments in a BIM level 2 environment.
• Support development of relationships with public and private sector clients.
• Prepare bids for small to complex multi-disciplinary projects.
• Lead, manage and delegate work to junior team members.
• Engage with clients, provide design advice and run workshops and stakeholder events.
• Contribute to internal multidisciplinary groups promoting innovation and excellence.
