Job summary

M Group is seeking a Land & Utilities Surveyor to join our survey team, supporting Aviation, Defence and related markets across the Southeast and Midlands. The role involves leading survey activities, mapping land features, locating utilities, and producing final survey reports.

A strong focus on safety and data analysis with occasional shifts away from base location is required. Key qualifications include leadership of survey teams, excellent communication across departments, basic site setting

Qualifications

• Experience in leading teams undertaking land or utility surveys.
• Ability to communicate with all project stakeholders across survey and design teams.
• Willingness to work flexibly (shift/away from base location).
• Basic site setting out skills.
• Basic knowledge of AutoCAD.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team undertaking land and/or utility surveys.
• Map land features and locate underground utilities before construction.
• Ensure safety, standards and quality throughout the project.
• Use specialised equipment to gather and analyse data for airport planning, construction and maintenance.
• Compile survey reports to support project timelines and protect infrastructure.
