Qualifications

• Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts.
• Hands-on experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
• Advanced in one or more programming languages, including Java.
• Experience building microservices with Spring Boot and REST APIs.
• Proficiency in automation and continuous delivery methods.
• Experience with relational databases (Oracle, Postgres, MongoDB).
• Experience leading use of AI-assisted software development tools with emphasis on correctness, performance and security.
• Strong knowledge of secure handling of inputs/outputs, resiliency and security within engineering workflows.
• Knowledge of agile practices including CI/CD, TDD, and application resiliency.

Responsibilities

• Executes creative software solutions, design, development, and troubleshooting.
• Develops secure production code and reviews code written by others.
• Drives AI-assisted engineering practices to improve code quality, delivery speed, and operational outcomes.
• Applies SDLC toolchain knowledge to improve automation value.
• Identifies opportunities to automate remediation for stability of software applications.
• Leads evaluation sessions with external vendors and internal teams on architectural designs and applicability.
