Job summary
Understanding Recruitment is partnering with an FX Market disruptor FinTech seeking a hands-on Senior/Lead Java Developer to guide the next generation of Java engineers. The role focuses on technical leadership, architecture decisions, and delivering scalable microservices in the cloud, with a strong bias toward low-latency, multithreaded systems.
The position is based in London with a requirement to be in the office 3 days per week and offers a competitive package, including a generous bonus
Qualifications
- Experience with multithreading and low-latency systems.
- Financial sector exposure, FX/trading preferred.
- Built microservices in the cloud (GCP/AWS) with Kubernetes.
- Experience in product-led architecture and delivery.
- Proven technical leadership: architecture decisions, mentoring, code reviews.
