Zizzi in the United Kingdom is seeking an Assistant Head Chef to lead shifts and run the pass alongside the Head Chef. You will inspire the team, balance front-of-house and kitchen demands, and maintain high-quality Italian dishes during busy service and delivery windows.

We are looking for a hands-on leader who can stay calm, manage stock and labour, and coach junior chefs to grow with the brand. Flexible hours and a minimum-hour contract support work-life balance.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a kitchen team in a busy setting.
• Passion for Italian cuisine, high standards and consistency.
• Confident leader able to run a shift and motivate the team.
• Calm, organised under peak times; guide the team through busy periods.
• Solid understanding of kitchen operations: stock, wastage and labour control.

Responsabilités

• Lead the kitchen and run the pass in the Head Chef's absence.
• Ensure fast, flawless service and consistent food quality for dine-in and delivery.
• Hit kitchen performance metrics: stock, labour, prep and cost control.
• Coach junior chefs and develop team talent and confidence.
• Maintain kitchen safety, cleanliness and food hygiene standards.
