Job summary

Schroders in London is seeking a Senior Internal Auditor to join our Group Internal Audit function. You will lead and participate in Wealth Management audits, ensuring delivery to high standards and adherence to IIA Standards, while collaborating with stakeholders across the firm.

You will assess risks, strengthen controls, and mentor teams, with occasional international travel and the option for flexible working where possible, as we support a resilient, ethical and technologically minded audit

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in an internal audit function or a similar risk and control role.
• Financial services experience and understanding of Wealth Management risks.
• Ability to travel to our Horsham office in Sussex, and some international travel occasionally.
• Strong understanding of internal audit techniques including the IIA Standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead and participate in audit across Wealth Management.
• Deliver audit work on-time and to a consistently high standard, in line with IIA Standards and Schroders Group Internal Audit methodology and procedures.
• Assist with other audits as a Wealth Management subject-matter expert, where required.
• Identify, assess and escalat key risks, control gaps and emerging issues promptly, using sound judgement and stakeholder engagement.
• Produce clear, balanced audit reports, communicating findings and actions in a way that supports improvement and informed decision-making.
• Monitor and follow up on audit actions, maintaining oversight of issue tracking and progress to closure.
• Build strong relationships across Schroders, staying close to business and regulatory developments and maintaining an up-to-date view of the control environment.
• Support theHead of Internal Audit Wealth Management in the performance of their duties.
