Lead Infrastructure Engineer - Water Recycling (Infrastructure) - Balfour Beatty Alliance

As a Lead Infrastructure Engineer, you will provide technical leadership, design oversight, and strategic guidance for potable water (clean) and water recycling (wastewater) infrastructure projects, including pipelines and networks. You will play a crucial role in ensuring designs are efficient, compliant, and future-ready, while also supporting the growth and development of our engineering teams.

What you'll be doing

Key responsibilities:

1. Provide technical reviews, guidance, and input for infrastructure designs, ensuring compliance with legislation and industry standards.
2. Work closely with Design Managers and Technical Managers to track key milestones and review dates.
3. Collaborate with Principal Engineers to enhance design calculations, standards, and product innovation.
4. Lead design review meetings and contribute to CDM and commissioning strategy discussions.
5. Oversee quality control processes through Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC), supporting discipline engineers to meet project timelines.
6. Champion new technologies and best practices, ensuring alignment with MAS standards.
7. Mentor and guide engineers, fostering professional development and standardizing procedures.

Who we're looking for

1. A degree (preferred but not essential) in water/wastewater engineering or a related field.
2. Proven experience as a technical expert in potable and wastewater pipeline design, quality assurance, and risk management.
3. Familiarity with design software and industry processes.
4. Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with a passion for mentoring and developing teams.
