As a Lead Infrastructure Engineer in the Infrastructure Platforms: Cloud Reliability Services TSE team at JPMorgan Chase, you will apply deep knowledge of software, applications, and technical processes within the infrastructure engineering discipline. You will continue to evolve your technical and cross-functional knowledge within and outside of your aligned domain of expertise. We encourage you to continue to expand your technical and cross-functional skills beyond your immediate area.

Your responsibilities will include applying your technical expertise to projects of moderate scope, leading a workstream or project involving one or more infrastructure engineering technologies, and collaborating with other platforms to implement changes. Job responsibilities

  • Apply technical expertise and problem-solving methodologies to projects of moderate scope.
  • Lead a workstream or project involving one or more infrastructure engineering technologies.
  • Collaborate with other platforms to architect and implement changes to resolve issues and modernize technology processes.
  • Design, develop, and troubleshoot technical problems of moderate complexity with creative solutions.
  • Consider upstream/downstream data and system implications, advising on mitigation strategies.
  • Troubleshoot complex priority incidents, balancing technical considerations and communication needs.
  • Partner with engineering and product teams to ensure issue resolution and identify trending issues for product improvement.
  • Demonstrate a high aptitude for learning and teaching, supporting continuous product releases.
  • Contribute to a team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Formal training or certification in infrastructure engineering concepts and advanced experience.
  • Deep knowledge of infrastructure areas such as hardware, networking, databases, storage, deployment, automation, scaling, resilience, or performance assessments.
  • Deep knowledge of specific infrastructure technology and scripting languages (e.g., scripting, Python).
  • Commitment to developing technical and cross-functional knowledge beyond immediate product areas.
  • Deep understanding of cloud infrastructure and multiple cloud platforms, with the ability to operate across public and private clouds.

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Significant programming experience in relevant languages.
  • Certifications in Kubernetes, Azure, GCP, or Terraform.
