Location: Warrington - Hybrid (3 days in office / 2 days from home)
I am working with a prominent organisation seeking a talented Lead Infrastructure Engineer to strengthen their IT department. You will be essential in maintaining and enhancing their important infrastructure.
As a Lead Infrastructure Engineer, you will lead AWS projects, drive automation initiatives, and oversee deployments to ensure a resilient and scalable production environment that supports continuous growth. A key aspect of this role will involve providing training and mentorship to junior team members, fostering their technical development and contributing to the overall growth of the team.
• Predominantly Windows-based EC2 instances on AWS.
• MariaDB (main relational DB) and DynamoDB (NoSQL).
• Linux appliances are used in small but important parts of the estate.
• Use of a custom-built deployment tool (not standard Terraform or Ansible).
• Deployment automation exists but needs improvement and modernization.
• AWS services: Various (not all specified, but significant AWS integration).
