Ex-Mil Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Lead Engineer/Infrastructure Supervisor to oversee structured cabling and network infrastructure delivery in the Guildford area. The role combines hands-on technical work with supervisory responsibilities to ensure quality, safety and customer satisfaction.

The ideal candidate has a military communications/engineering background, manages teams effectively, and can produce clear site documentation.

Qualifications

Strong background in structured cabling and physical infrastructure installation.
Experience supervising engineering teams on live projects.
Good knowledge of copper and fibre systems.
Experience working within regulated or secure environments.
SSSTS or SMSTS qualification.
Excellent communication and leadership skills.
Ability to produce technical documentation and site reports.
Eligibility to obtain UK Security Clearance.

Responsibilities

Lead and supervise structured cabling installation teams.
Oversee copper and fibre installation, testing and commissioning.
Coordinate subcontractors and engineering resources.
Act as the main point of contact between engineers, project management and the customer.
Conduct toolbox talks, site inspections and quality audits.
Ensure all work complies with Health & Safety legislation and project standards.
Produce site documentation including RAMS and survey reports.
Support fault finding, moves, adds and changes (MACs) and project completion activities.
Ensure projects are delivered safely on time and to the required quality standards.
