Job summary

Energy Jobline ZR is seeking an HV Designer/Power Systems Engineer to design large industrial facilities such as power stations and major manufacturing sites. The role supports a defence and security practice with hybrid working (1-2 days in Glasgow or Reading offices) and occasional site visits.

You will lead a team of electrical engineers and designers, perform HV/LV design up to 11kV/33kV, and coordinate with project delivery teams in the UK and abroad.

Qualifications

• Depth of knowledge in electrical engineering up to 11kV interfacing with 33kV.
• Experience in HV/distribution systems and protection systems.
• Experience in HV/LV network design and analysis using ETAP/AMTECH.
• Experience in preparing technical reports with commercial awareness.
• Experience in contracting environments with site exposure.
• Willingness to travel and relocate if required.

Responsibilities

• Perform design and coordination of HV/LV systems for industrial projects.
• Lead and collaborate with electrical engineers/designers on deliverables.
• Conduct site surveys and condition assessments to determine requirements.
• Incorporate utility diversions where applicable.
• Prepare plans, specifications, and contract documents.
• Interface with clients and project teams.
