Job summary

UKSBS is inviting applications for an HR Operations Team Leader to oversee a team of HR Services colleagues across Swindon, Newport, or Stockton-on-Tees. Band D, £34,101 per year, with a focus on delivering high-quality HR services and ensuring compliant, efficient processes.

You will lead a multi-location team, drive continuous improvement, manage workload, and maintain strong client relationships while upholding GDPR and governance requirements.

Qualifications

• Experience in HR Operations or shared services environment.
• Experience leading, managing and developing a team.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to motivate and influence others to achieve service delivery targets.
• High levels of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong customer service focus and commitment to delivering excellent outcomes.

• Experience using HR systems, such as Oracle or Workday, and Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach and develop a team of HR Services colleagues, promoting an inclusive and collaborative team culture.
• Support and motivate the team to achieve service performance targets, including SLAs and KPIs.
• Manage workload distribution across the team, identifying and escalating potential service delivery risks where appropriate.
• Foster a proactive and customer-focused approach to service delivery, ensuring a positive experience for clients and end users.
• Act as the first point of contact for complaints and escalations, providing advice and support in line with policy and best practice.
• Ensure services are delivered in line with client policies, employment legislation and governance requirements.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, third parties and internal colleagues.
• Lead and support the team through change, creating a resilient and engaged working environment.
• Champion continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to enhance processes, efficiency and service delivery.
• Support audit readiness activities and ensure compliance with GDPR and other regulatory requirements.
