Job summary

Portsmouth City Council is seeking an experienced supervisor to lead a team of officers responsible for enforcing the HMO licensing scheme and housing standards in the Private Sector Housing service. You will support the Housing Regulation Manager to ensure compliance with legislation and policies, delivering a high-quality regulatory service.

The role requires strong leadership, evidence-based decision making, and ability to work across teams.

Qualifications

• Must have level 5 qualification in housing, construction or environmental health or equivalent experience.
• Desirable level 6 qualification and supervision experience.
• CPD and professional body membership encouraged (CIEH/CIH).
