Job summary
Dearne Valley College in Rotherham is seeking an experienced Horticulture & Land Management Trainer/Assessor to lead hands‑on training, study programmes, and apprenticeships. You will shape our practical estate, foster local industry links, and train school leavers, adults, and apprentices in real‑world horticultural skills.
The role covers curriculum growth, teaching across formats, and driving commercial opportunities as part of a Centre of Excellence within the region.
Qualifications
- Level 3 Horticulture qualification (or equivalent) is required.
- Level 3 teaching or training qualification is required.
- Assessor qualification is required.
- Proven experience delivering high-quality training in education.
- Strong knowledge of Horticulture and land management curricula and licenses.
Responsibilities
- Lead high-quality classroom, online, and practical training for a range of learners.
- Design, plan, and evaluate curriculum reflecting current industry trends.
- Manage student support through projects, field trips, and pastoral care.
- Provide leadership to lecturing and assessment teams and collaborate with partners.
- Grow regional commercial opportunities and manage related KPIs.
