Job summary
Dearne Valley College is recruiting a Trainer/Assessor to lead practical horticulture and land management training for school leavers, adults and apprentices. You will shape curricula, manage field trips and deliver high‑quality sessions across study programmes, apprenticeships and commercial offerings.
You will work with industry partners, lead a team of lecturers, and drive regional opportunities while meeting budget KPIs and targets.
Qualifications
- This role requires a Level 3 Horticulture qualification and a Level 3 teaching or training qualification.
- An Assessor qualification and industry licenses are highly desirable.
- Experience delivering practical training in horticulture or land management.
Responsibilities
- Lead hands-on training and delivery of study programmes and apprenticeships.
- Design, plan and evaluate course content reflecting current industry trends.
- Supervise projects, field excursions and pastoral support for students.
- Lead the lecturing and assessment team and collaborate with partners.
- Grow regional commercial opportunities and manage related KPIs.
