Job summary

AVEVA is seeking a HMI/SCADA Principal Architect to define the technical architecture for its HMI/SCADA solutions. You will combine industrial automation expertise with modern web technologies to deliver scalable platforms that support diverse industrial deployments.

You will work with Product, Development, and System Integrator teams on engineering standards, data modeling, and end-to-end deployment, including DevOps practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or above in Automation, Computer Science, Engineering or related discipline.
• Deep understanding of HMI/SCADA systems and engineering workflows (tag modeling, visualization config, data flow design).
• Strong C/C++ programming and at least one modern frontend framework.
• Solid experience in engineering data modeling (object models, templating, hierarchical structures).
• Familiarity with DevOps concepts and tools (Git, CI/CD, automated deployment).

Responsibilities

• Define the overall architecture and technical roadmap for HMI/SCADA solutions.
• Lead end-to-end engineering design, including modeling, configuration, deployment, and operational architecture.
• Design scalable engineering data models and reusable frameworks to improve configurability and project efficiency.
• Develop end-to-end technical solutions ensuring reliable front-end and back-end integration.
• Collaborate with product, development and system integrator teams to deliver large-scale projects and promote DevOps practices.
