Job summary

Bennett And Game Recruitment is seeking a Principal Civil Technician in Christchurch to lead highway design for development infrastructure projects. The role involves producing and coordinating drawings using AutoCAD and Civil 3D across feasibility, planning and construction stages.

The ideal candidate has significant highway technician experience, strong CAD skills, and a collaborative approach to working with planners, engineers and authorities. Hybrid working is available.

Qualifications

• Significant experience as a Highway Technician or Senior Highway Technician.
• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
• Knowledge of UK highway design standards and technical approval processes.

Responsibilities

• Producing, reviewing and coordinating highway and civil engineering drawings for development infrastructure schemes.
• Preparing detailed drawing packages for Section 278 and Section 38 submissions.
• Developing Civil 3D models including surfaces, alignments, corridors, grading and earthworks.
• Coordinating designs with Transport Planners, Engineers and other project disciplines.
• Mentoring and supporting less experienced team members.
