Job summary

Randstad Construction and Property is seeking a Senior Highways Site Engineer (Structures) to lead setting out, QA, and technical interface on a major highway scheme in Suffolk. You will manage junior engineers and coordinate with the Works Manager to keep activities on the critical path, ensuring compliance with National Highways specifications.

The role requires extensive highways and civils experience, proficiency with Leica/Trimble total stations and GPS, and a valid CSCS card.

Qualifications

• Extensive highways and civils experience on live highway infrastructure.
• Proficiency with robotic total stations and GPS for setting out and verification.
• Valid CSCS card; SSSTS/SMSTS desirable.

Responsibilities

• Engineering Leadership & Setting Out for heavy highway infrastructure and retaining elements.
• Quality Assurance: sign off on ITPs, pre-pour inspections, as-built surveys.
• Interfacing with design team, RFIs, and reviewing complex highway drawings and schedules.
• Mentor site engineers and coordinate with Works Manager and groundworks gangs.
