Job summary

Compass Group’s Lodestone House at Uppingham School is seeking an experienced Hub Senior Sous Chef to lead a busy production kitchen and deliver fresh, high-quality meals to a vibrant school community.

You will coach and develop a kitchen team, drive menu development, manage stock and waste, and uphold HACCP and allergen safety across the operation. This role offers development within a leading UK school catering operation.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a busy kitchen or high-volume catering operation.
• Strong passion for fresh, high-quality food and dining experience.
• Ability to lead, motivate and develop a kitchen team.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Hub kitchen during production and service to high standards.
• Plan and deliver menus across the School, ensuring portion sizes and presentation.
• Monitor stock, waste and cost to support effective cost management.
• Maintain HACCP, allergen, HSE and COSHH procedures and high hygiene standards.
