Job summary

SABIC Teesside is seeking a High Pressure Maintenance First Line Manager to lead the High-Pressure Maintenance Specialists. You will drive safe, high-quality refurbishment, manage critical spares and the refurbishment loop for LDPE equipment, and ensure compliance with HASAWA, PUWER, LOLER, and COSHH.

You will develop the team, manage CAPEX budgets, oversee CMMS in SAP, and deliver first-time-right maintenance while coordinating with plant management and external contractors.

Qualifications

• Qualified in a relevant technical discipline (HNC or higher preferred).
• Proven leadership skills with small teams in delivering high quality engineering outcomes.
• Ability to lead QA/QC standards and influence others to maintain them.
• Experience in petrochemical or similar high-pressure environments is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Provide functional and line leadership to the High-Pressure Maintenance Specialists, including objective setting, performance reviews, and day-to-day management.
• Collaborate with Line Management & Plant Management Team to prioritise and improve LDPE maintenance performance.
• Own and manage the LDPE maintenance workshop and storage facilities, ensuring regulatory compliance (HASAWA, PUWER, LOLER, COSHH).
• Manage Critical Spares and High Pressure Equipment through refurbishment to reduce risk and maximize reliable production.
• CMS/MMS management of critical spares within SAP, generating refurbishment work orders and cost optimization.
• Support Asset Engineering in CAPEX budgeting for refurbishment of high value spares.
• Develop working practices and QA/QC controls to deliver first-time-right maintenance.
• Lead relationships with SABIC contractors and third-party vendors within refurbishment loops.
• Develop and deliver pitstop and maintenance event plans; oversee machine-based maintenance activities.
• Ensure machine inspections and documentation are recorded in CMMS and reports available.
• Oversee training curriculum for high pressure specialists and ensure compliance.
• Coordinate training programs for maintenance contracts and in-house technicians.
