Job summary

Polypipe Building Products is looking for an Engineering Team Leader to oversee the first-line maintenance team, ensuring reliable plant equipment and support systems. You will drive continuous improvement, manage planned and reactive maintenance, and communicate effectively with stakeholders on-site.

Responsibilities include prioritising workloads, leading safety practices, and generating regular performance reports while guiding apprentices and contractors on site.

Qualifications

• Strong engineering background with hands-on maintenance experience.
• Experience in highly automated, fast-paced environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day maintenance and repair activities to meet site KPIs.
• Prioritise workload and respond quickly to urgent issues.
• Identify skills gaps and support team development.
• Promote continuous improvement and safe working practices.
• Communicate with internal/external departments and stakeholders.
• Oversee preventive maintenance, work orders, and spares control.
• Provide timely written reports (daily/weekly/monthly).
