Job summary

CommonAI CIC in Cambridge is seeking a Programme Technical Lead to drive the High Assurance AI Programme from research direction to delivered engineering. You will report to the CTO and build and lead the programme's engineering team, coordinating with academic leads and our industry partners.

The role requires deep experience in AI governance for regulated sectors, and the ability to translate banking and financial services workflows into concrete technical roadmaps while partnering with ML

Qualifications

Understanding of processes/workflows in financial services, particularly banks.
Understanding of AI governance or controls in regulated industries.
Experience with PyTorch or similar frameworks.
Depth to engage credibly with ML researchers without writing proofs or algorithms.
Ability to bring organisations with different priorities to a shared plan.

Responsibilities

Own delivery of the programme's technical roadmap from research to working infrastructure.
Build, hire and lead an engineering team based in Cambridge.
Translate the needs of regulated industries into clear technical requirements.
Bring members, researchers and partners together around a shared roadmap.
Evaluate approaches such as formal methods, AI control and small language models and decide what to build.
Represent the programme technically with members and partners.
