Job summary

Northern Care Alliance NHS Foundation Trust in Oldham is seeking a Gastroenterology Consultant to join our expanding service. This permanent, full-time post covers 10 sessions per week with an additional 0.5 PA and on-call GI bleed duties at The Royal Oldham Hospital and associated sites.

The post requires GMC registration and specialist gastroenterology training with Leadership in multidisciplinary NHS environments, and offers opportunities to advance hepatology services within a large trust.

Qualifications

• Full GMC registration with Licence to Practice.
• MRCPCH or MRCP or equivalent training/experience.
• Registration on GMC Specialist Register for Gastroenterology (or within 6 months of CCT).
• Entry onto Specialist Register or within 6 months of CCT in Gastroenterology if outside the UK.

Responsibilities

• Lead clinical governance for advanced liver diseases and drive non-invasive fibrosis screening expansion.
• Manage liver MDTs and rapid hot clinic models.
• Develop hepatology and GI services in collaboration with the CDC and other sites.
• Demonstrate leadership and teaching within the Gastroenterology/Endoscopy domain.
