Sheffield Children\'s NHS Foundation Trust is seeking three experienced analysts for the Sheffield Diagnostic Genetics Service (SDGS). The posts are 3 full-time positions—two permanent and one fixed-term for 12 months.

You will contribute to rare disease and oncology genomics reporting within a dynamic, collaborative team. The role reports to the Lead Scientist, with responsibilities spanning analysis using QF-PCR, microarrays, karyotyping and WGS, service leadership, and quality improvement

Formación

• Graduates must have a science degree (2.2+) or equivalent healthcare scientist registration.
• Ability to supervise groups and meet tight deadlines with high-stakes results.
• Able to handle confidential and emotionally stressful issues in prenatal and neonatal contexts.

Responsabilidades

• Deliver expert analysis and reporting of rare disease cases using QF-PCR, microarrays, karyotyping and WGS.
• Lead and manage a defined laboratory service, overseeing clinical delivery, staff support, and reporting.
• Collaborate to maintain services across local, regional, and national networks.
• Act as quality lead (Audit/EQA) contributing to quality structures.
• Check and countersign reports ensuring accuracy and clear clinical interpretation.
