Job summary

HCRG Care Group seeks a Health Visitor to lead the Healthy Child Programme across your locality, delivering universal and targeted services with a focus on safeguarding and reducing health inequalities. You will work within a skill-mixed team in a flexible, hybrid environment with a local office base to support collaboration.

You will manage a defined caseload, lead on public health initiatives, supervise learners and junior staff, and contribute to service development and quality improvement,

Qualifications

• Specialist Community Public Health Nursing (SCPHN) qualification.
• NMC registration and ongoing practice.
• Experience in health visiting teams with safeguarding knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of the Healthy Child Programme within your locality.
• Assess health needs and implement targeted, outcome-focused interventions for children and families.
• Take responsibility for safeguarding and outcomes of children on child protection plans.
• Collaborate with multi-agency partners to support vulnerable families.
• Promote health and wellbeing through early intervention, education, and signposting.
• Manage and co-ordinate a defined caseload, working autonomously and within a team.
• Delegate and support skill mix teams to deliver effective care.
• Contribute to multi-agency assessments and act as Lead Professional where appropriate.
• Drive service improvement through leadership, innovation, and evidence-based practice.
• Support and develop colleagues, learners, and junior staff through supervision and training.
