Lead Hardware & Firmware Engineer
Hybrid – 2 days/week in Birmingham
£70,000 – £75,000

We’re looking for an experienced Hardware & Firmware Engineer to lead development, design embedded systems, and drive technical innovation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and optimise embedded systems from concept to production.
• Lead a small team and oversee PCB design, testing, and compliance.
• Implement hardware verification and product lifecycle improvements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance performance.

Essentials:

• Experience with MCU-based digital electronics & PCB design.
• Strong embedded C skills & familiarity with SPI, I2C, UART, USB.
• Leadership experience managing projects or teams.
• Degree in Electronic Engineering or equivalent.

Desirable:

• Bluetooth/Wi-Fi device experience.
• EMC testing & certification knowledge (CE, FCC).
• Background in start-ups or fast-paced environments.
