Optos PLC in Dunfermline is seeking a Principal Hardware Engineer to lead the electronics design for retinal imaging products. You will guide analogue, digital and mixed-signal architectures, mentor engineers, and drive design for manufacturing and EMC across projects.

Qualifications
- Strong background in analogue, digital and mixed-signal electronics design and analysis.
- Experience delivering electronics designs to schedule and specification.
- FMEA and design control knowledge.
- Design for EMC and debugging EMC issues.
- Ability to mentor staff and work across cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities
- Concept generation and development of analogue, mixed-signal and digital electronics solutions for retinal imaging products.
- Provide technical leadership over electronics design specifications, design and efficacy.
- Ensure timely delivery of electronics solutions against project requirements.
- Oversight of outsourced electronics design work and schedule.
- Produce design documentation and participate in design reviews and FMEA.
- Contribute to product roadmap and technology advancement.
